Volodymyr Lytvyn, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced that the Leaders of the Parliament are supposed to assume the Common Responsibility for the Organization of the Parliamentary Work and "be a Single Team that protects the State Positions."
It was declared by V. Lytvyn in the air of "Era" Radio on Thursday.
Asked why the coalition have not gave the office of the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the opposition, V. Lytvyn stated that he repeatedly appealed to all the factions, to the opposition representatives first of all, with the proposition to suggest their own candidate.
Though, according to him, opposition failed to suggest any candidate to the office. "Proposition to appoint to the office M. Tomenko was sounded after we start the scrutiny of the Martyniuk candidate to the office", the Chairman stated and also according to him, they would have dismissed Mykola Tomenko from the office of the Deputy Chairman though he would not have been appointed to the new office.
The Head of the Parliament also emphasised that for him of the principal significance is now a person that interested the presidium and its observance not only of the party principles but common responsibility for the state and consolidation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
